Weather Update
The Met Office and the UK Health Security Agency are updating their guidance on a regular basis (this is not always aligning), we are monitoring this closely. On Wednesday and Thursday we are in an Amber / Red warning area, temperatures locally are expected to reach the mid-30s.
The government have issued updated guidance to schools, which states they do not advise schools to close. However, they do advise suggested steps / adjustments to make sure children are safe and comfortable. This can be seen here
As a result, for the remainder of this week, pupils will be able to wear their PE kit. We will also be reviewing our activities in line with the guidance issued and will keep the field closed to encourage our pupils to keep under shelter and stay cool. Please also ensure your child brings water to school, we have re-fill stations and will also provide bottle filling at lunchtimes. Please also ensure they bring sunscreen.
Our intention is to stay open, in-line with current guidance.
Pupils will not need to wear jumpers / blazers for the remainder of this term.
