Exam Notice

Recently it was announced that the challenge to the summer’s GCSE English grades made by ASCL and numerous other organisations has not been upheld, and so despite the judgement highlighting ‘the inconsistent treatment meted out to the students taking assessments in January and June respectively’, no change will be made to the 2012 English GCSE Results.

However, GTs received some fantastic news this week, following our challenge to the exam board, it was confirmed that all students entered for the Creative iMedia exam in 2012 have passed the full award, achieving a minimum of 2 C grades at GCSE each.

The initial and subsequent moderations for iMedia contained numerous inconsistencies which have now been put right, not only enabling the iMedia students to gain their full award, but this also means that GTS have gained their best overall results ever with a fantastic 76% of students gaining at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C.
