Maths Cipher Challenge

Posted on: 26/09/2017

Great Torrington School’s Cipher Challenge club is the newest lunchtime activity for pupils interested in Cryptanalysis.  The Mathematics department is very proud to start the ‘National Cipher Challenge club’ for ALL Pupils.

It is a nationwide, online code-breaking competition which will allow our pupils to use their mathematical skills to solve real life challenges.   The competition is organised by the University of Southampton’s School of Mathematics.

Any interested pupils should see Mrs Sargeant in room M3 on Thursday lunchtime if they want to know more about code-breaking and how to enter into this competition.
