Devon County Show 2016

Posted on: 26/05/2016

In May 30 GTS Year 8 3Rs students were selected for their hard work in lessons and invited to attend the Devon County Show.  The pupils were tasked with researching Britain's role in Europe and to identify whether businesses felt happier in or out of Europe.

In addition the students were able to explore the show, sample the delicious food on offer and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of the show.  Pupils were able to record the news in the BBC tent, see the numerous livestock displays and witness the Shetland Pony Grand National.

The group provided an excellent advertisement for the school, engaging with every activity and enjoying the day out.  The group managed to witness everything from award winning livestock to home-made fudge to carousels and candy floss.  The day provided the perfect mix of education and enquiry and fun leaving the group enthralled by their experience.
