Posted on: 31/10/2016

We would like to say a big congratulations to one of our Year 8 pupils, Jack L. Towards the end of the Summer term we were informed that the had been awarded second place in the national round of the Rotary Young Writers Competition. Jack was put forward after winning the Torrington round and then went on to win first place in the District competition. The judges described his work as a “mature and thoughtful piece of work about dyslexia’.

Archie was presented vouchers for £50 at our Annual Awards Day by Mr Charles Innis, Rotary Chairperson for Torrington.  He was also awarded the personal development award from GTS.

Well done to everyone that took part in this competition.

The theme has been set for next year’s competition as ‘My Inspiration’.
