Torrington's Got Talent 2015: Audition for this year's competition

Posted on: 22/04/2015

Do you think you've got what it takes to win GTS Torrington's Got Talent? If you're in a band, enjoy singing or dancing or perhaps you are a born comedian, then why not enter.

Torrington's Got Talent is in its fifth year. The first ever winner was Alana Chokarian who was in year 7 at the time and is now in Year 11; she has since been involved in every Christmas and summer concert, taken the lead role of Tallulah in our first E&I musical, Bugsy Malone, and was a Performing Arts Leader last year.

This year we have three guest judges again with Amy Avery from Streetz and Rob Pudner from Entertainingly Different returning.

Mr Pluckrose, Head of Performing Arts says, "They have to get through two rounds of auditions to get to the final, but it is a constructive process  where hints and tips are given on how they can improve their act, but the whole event is a great occasion to celebrate the talent at GTS".

Please note that the lunchtime audition on Friday the 1st May has been cancelled so it's best to get in early and come to one of the first auditions which will be held at lunchtimes in P1 from Monday 27th April to Thursday 30th April.  The final will take place on Friday 15th May at 6pm.

Whatever the talent you have, we want to see it! Assistant Head teacher and one of the three presenters from GTS, said,  “I felt very humble to be able to share our innovative challenge curriculum with school leaders from across the country and I am delighted that it was so well received.”
