Tri Schools Marketing Challenge

Pupils from Braunton, GTS and Chulmleigh at RHS Rosemoor Gardens

We were delighted to receive EiSG (Enterprise in Schools Grants) funding from DCC for three North Devon schools to undertake the Tri-schools apprenticeship branding challenge.  Together with Chulmleigh and Braunton the three schools worked together to inspire eighty four young people to pursue apprenticeships and broaden their understanding of apprenticeships in North Devon.

Local firms RHS Rosemoor, Beran Instruments and Greenfields Engineering helped develop our young people's understanding by allowing us to spend a day with them learning about their company, speaking to their existing apprenticeships and designing a short promotional video.

The winning video from each day will be published on this website -  www.devonenterprisepassport.co.uk and shown in the three schools to promote apprenticeships available at these three companies.

Mrs Whiteman, Deputy Head teacher at Great Torrington School, summed up the challenge, "The Tri-schools Apprenticeship Challenge has proven to be a great way for pupils to engage in local business.  The local businesses have enjoyed show casing what they do to the young people, thus raising awareness of the opportunities available to them in the local community".

Well done to all students who took part.
