Two brave pupils bungee jump for

Rotary Club charities

Yesterday at Bideford Water festival two of our very brave pupils did a sponsored bungee jump from a 175ft crane suspended over the quay.  Tanisha Law and Fleur Sparrow-Gormley both from Year 9 took up the challenge organised by the Bideford Rotary Club and raised money in  aid of Macmillan Nurses, Children's Hospice SW, Northam Lodge.

Fleur raised £220 through sponsorship, cake sales and a pop up boutique in school and Tanisha raised an amazing £180 through collecting sponsorship. The girls said the day itself was a massive mix of emotions.  They said they were excited, nervous, scared, anxious and a whole bunch of other emotions mixed together, but what a fun adventure it was.  They both thought the day was really amazing and would do it again, but now they have set their sights on something bigger, a skydive!
