Great Torrington School is pleased to report an outstanding set of GCSE results.

Preliminary results show that at least 66% of pupils have achieved five grade C or above including both English and mathematics. A high proportion of our students have achieved or exceeded their expected grades. This will enable them to access their preferred courses. Our highest attaining student achieved 10 GCSE’s at A* and 1 at A grade!

As a school we are celebrating outstanding progress in English with more than 73% of students obtaining A* to C grade, this goes against the national trend which has seen grades in English fall this year. In mathematics, we saw an increase in the number of students obtaining A* to C, again bucking the national trend with 74%.
