GTS Prize giving and Reunion Evening

Posted on: 16/12/2013

On Tuesday 19th November 2013 Great Torrington School held its annual Prize giving and Reunion Evening.

We welcomed  Mr David Nainby former Headteacher of Great Torrington Community School from 1984 to 1998 to distribute subject prizes awarded to outstanding pupils from each subject area.  There were also a number of Special Awards handed out at the ceremony.

The evening is a fantastic opportunity for leavers who have started their college course or are now in employment to get together and catch-up on all that’s been happening since they left.  The event was a real success and a great way of recognising the hard work and commitment needed to succeed in Secondary Education.
