Winners enjoy the

Devon County Show 2014

Posted on: 16/06/2014

Despite the weather forecast the sun shone (at times) and the Year 8 Pupils enjoyed the first day of the Devon County Show at Westpoint near Exeter.

There was plenty to see and do - from eating their way around the food tent to watching  displays and soaking up the rural life in the county.   This was an award trip for those students who entered the Devon County Show school design challenge to produce a mousemat that would promote the NHS 5 A Day message with a reference to promoting locally sourced produce and include information about the carbon footprint.

Unfortunately, visitors over the following few days did not have quite as a pleasant an experience and some missed out altogether when it was cancelled for the first time in its history.  Mrs Whiterod, Head of 3Rs said, "We had a good trip and had lots of fun looking around at all the stalls and doing some of the activities available".
