Christmas Fayre Update

Posted on: 04/12/2013

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Christmas Fayre on Friday and to the ladies and gentleman and all young volunteers who supported the event.

We had an amazing amount of stands with shoppers taking the opportunity in purchasing some unique gifts for Christmas.

Festive fun was had by all; the mince pies and cream provided by the Cobra afterschool cookery club were all consumed.  The GTS Choir sang beautifully on stage and the evening saw a steady stream of visitors.  We also welcomed Father Christmas in the middle of the evening who dropped in to meet all the young people.

The Streetz dance crew took people by surprise and performed a flash mob dance throughout the crowd. Many stallholders and visitors taken back by surprised but were then seen moving with the rhythm and enjoying the festivities.

So many fantastic compliments received about our young people and the lovely stall holders. An enormous thank you to the stall holders for supporting us in this event and kindly donating a prize for our raffle.

A big thank you to all the GTS Staff, PFA, Parents and Pupils for making the event such a great success. The final figure is yet to be confirmed but it looks like the region of £500 which is amazing for our first Christmas Fayre for a while.

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the GTS Gingerbread House decorated in sweets and icing is Axel Lancaster. Congratulations Axel.
