SouthMolton tookanearly lead, but Torrington cameback
fightingwitha try from JoshMcCulloch just beforehalf time.
After thebreak, Torrington struggled todealwith thewell
organised SouthMolton teamand conceded2more tries, coming
fromSouthMoltonsbigger players. Torringtonhit backwitha
stunning3/4 lengthof the field try, again fromMcCulloch. South
Molton though, camebackatGTSagainandmade themost of
poor tacklingand scored twomore. Torringtonwasn't finished
yet though, scoringa tryafter somegoodpassing from thebacks
with,Will Bright eventually touchingdown.Well played lads, you

YoungUmpire’s course, under theguidanceof tutor, Lorraine
Beal. On completionof thequalification, theyoungumpires
will thenhave theopportunity to support school fixtures and
primary school festival events. This isanother fineexampleof
how the school promotes and supports young sports leaders
and coacheswith theview tonurturinga future sporting

On Sunday16March, fourmembersof theGreat Torrington
School equestrian teammadeanearly start toOkehampton to
takepart in theSouthWest school show jumping competition, at
GrangeEquestrianCentre, against 55 riders and thirteen schools.
Representing the schoolwereOliviaandCharlotteTucker, Sada
OrdandDexterDack. Theyall rode their ownhorses and regularly
compete in shows andevents.MrsDack, aparent, said, “Team
jumping is special becauseyouwork together and support each
other,what youdoaffectseveryoneand the team spurseach
other on.” MrsCraig, Headof PE,wasdelighted for them, praising
their dedicationandhopes that they continue to compete. “I
would like to thankall theGTSparentswho supported the children
in thisevent andmany congratulations for achieving suchagreat
result.”
