Content – what does the
activity involve?
Every year, GTS takes part in the CILIP Carnegie and
Kate Greenaway Shadowing Scheme where students
have the opportunity to ‘shadow’ the judging
process of the shortlisted books. Students really get
involved in the whole process i.e. read, discuss and
review the books on the shortlist. This year GTS
‘shadowers’ met Tanya Landman, author of Buffalo
Soldier, Carnegie Gold Medal Winner 2015.
